Call for Special Sessions

ICAICE 2026 · Shenzhen · November 6–8, 2026

Introduction

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite proposals for Special Sessions to be held at The 7th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Computer Engineering (ICAICE 2026), which will take place on November 6–8, 2026 in Shenzhen, China. The Special Sessions aim to provide a focused forum for researchers and practitioners to present and discuss emerging topics, cutting-edge technologies, and interdisciplinary applications that align with the conference scope but deserve deeper exploration in a dedicated setting.

We encourage proposals that introduce innovative ideas, foster cross-disciplinary collaboration, and attract high-quality original research contributions. Both experienced researchers and early-career scholars are welcome to submit proposals.

Topics of Interest

Special Sessions are expected to cover, but are not limited to, the following emerging and hot topics aligned with the ICAICE 2026 scope:

• Foundations of Frontier Artificial Intelligence: Large Language Models and Generative AI, Diffusion Models and Multimodal Learning, Reinforcement Learning and Autonomous Agents

• Embodied Intelligence and Multimodal Interaction: Embodied Intelligence and Cognitive Architecture, Multimodal Perception and Fusion, Machine Learning for Autonomous Agents

• Artificial Intelligence and Scientific Discovery: Scientific Machine Learning and Physical Modeling, Causal Inference and Symbolic Reasoning, Uncertainty Quantification and Trustworthy AI

• Aerospace Intelligent Systems and Applications: UAV Autonomy and Control, Integrated Communication, Navigation, and Sensing, Urban Air Mobility (UAM/eVTOL)

• Large-Scale Safety and Trustworthy AI: Large-model Evaluation and Safety Benchmarks, Data Poisoning, Hallucination, and Robustness, Federated Learning and Privacy Protection

• Other Related Topics: Smart Healthcare and Health Informatics, Intelligent Manufacturing and Industry 4.0, Intelligent Transportation and IoT

Note: Proposals on other interdisciplinary or frontier topics within the AI and Computer Engineering domain are also highly welcome.

Responsibilities of Organizers

The organizer(s) of an approved Special Session are expected to:

1. Promote the Session: Actively disseminate the Call for Papers to their professional networks, research communities, and mailing lists to attract high-quality submissions.

2. Paper Solicitation and Recommendation: Publicize the session theme and encourage high-quality contributions. All manuscripts submitted to the Special Session will be subject to a unified peer-review process managed by the ICAICE Conference Committee, with each paper reviewed by two or three experts from the committees, ensuring fairness, professionalism, and timeliness.

3. Chair the Session:Attend the conference in person and chair the scheduled session.

4. Finalize the Program:Collaborate with the conference committee to finalize the session program and camera-ready versions of accepted papers.

   
   

Proposal Submission Guidelines

A complete Special Session proposal must be submitted as a single PDF file via email to the Special Session Chairs and should include the following information:

1. Session Title 

2. Abstract / Scope

3. Topics of Interest 

4. Organizers' Information: Name(s), affiliation(s), title(s), email(s), and a short biography of the organizer(s) (1–3 organizers).

Important Dates

Special Session Proposal Submission Deadline: September 11, 2026
Notification of Proposal Acceptance: September 18, 2026

Publication and Indexing

All accepted papers from both the main conference and Special Sessions will be published in the ICAICE 2026 Conference Proceedings and submitted for indexing to EI Compendex and Scopus

• All submitted articles should report original research results, experimental or theoretical, not previously published or under consideration for publication elsewhere.

• Any act of plagiarism or other misconduct is totally unacceptable and cannot be tolerated.
